What’s been happening:

Gerald has been an employee at West Virginia Hospital since 1976. From Harmarville he went to Johnstown Rehab Center for book learning and continuing education with on the job training. Jerry was a student at Penn State University, Fayette Campus and on his Christmas break when the accident happened. The late Gail Cunningham interviewed Jerry and had the confidence that he would be successful in the employment realm of the hospital. Jerry has been employed for 30 years in the dietary department of the West Virginia Hospital, Ruby Memorial and Chestnut Ridge Hospital. He has had many trials, but would not miss a day of work. He would arrive at least an hour early as to be with the people he loved. Jerry would like to thank his supervisors, co-workers, and friends who through the years have supported him in anyway. At the present Jerry has had to finally surrender to pain, instability from his years of duties of jobs; but will never forget where he got his second chance to live. Jerry is a member of the Bobtown United Methodist Church, an alumni of Penn State University, Fayette Campus, the Theta Kappa Delta Fraternity and a lifetime member of the Order of DeMolay, Fayette Chapter, Uniontown. The Ellenberger family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation for enabling Jerry to remain at his duties through these many years. May God bless all of you!
